Back the Brew began in 2022, while Heather Cook was working as a Law Enforcement Officer in North Dakota. Heather started a make shift coffee bar to help her coworkers make it through the tough workdays. And so Back the Brew Coffee Co. was born.

Heather grew up in Willliston, ND and spent 10 years in law enforcement giving back to her hometown community. Heather started Back the Brew with several missions in mind. Heather loves coffee, loves community outreach, and loves giving back to those who are well deserving of it. Heather recently moved to Fargo, ND with her children and has goals and aspirations to move Back the Brew Coffee Co. to a permanent location.

Heather’s passion lies with first responder mental health. Heather’s goal is to eventually open a facility for first responders to seek inpatient mental heath treatment for PTSD and on the job related trauma. A portion of all proceeds will go toward making that goal a reality.

Heather is the founder of Ten-78 Project, which is built on giving back to first responders and providing funding for mental health services that may not be affordable otherwise.
